Biometric Permission

Biometric authentication is optional and is used only for user convenience when unlocking the application.

Nearby Devices and Wi-Fi Permissions

These permissions are used exclusively for local Wi-Fi Direct file transfers between nearby devices.

Transferred data moves directly between devices without passing through developer servers or cloud services.

Clavex does not collect, store or transmit location information.

Offline Transfer

Clavex supports encrypted device-to-device transfer using Wi-Fi Direct and QR pairing.

No server participates in the transfer process.

Import, Export and Sharing

Files selected by the user can be imported into the encrypted vault.

Export creates a decrypted copy outside the protected vault environment.

After export the file is no longer protected by Clavex encryption.

Sharing sends a decrypted copy to an application selected by the user.

Once a file leaves Clavex, its protection depends on the receiving application or storage location chosen by the user.

Encrypted Backups

Clavex allows users to create encrypted backup files using the .secure format.

Backup files are encrypted locally and protected using the user's Vault PIN.

Backup files are stored only in a location chosen by the user and are never uploaded to the developer.

If the Vault PIN is forgotten, backup restoration is not possible.
